Time for a rather late upload. I did this manicure about 2 weeks ago, but unfortunately did not get a chance to post it until now. I do apologize for the any glare on the nails on this design. I was trying to find proper lighting while attempting to learn how to operate my new camera! Hopefully once I get the hang of taking pictures with my camera, I can now provide you with better pictures of my manicure designs!
Today I’m here to review a lovely little make up brush set that I recently picked up from BH Cosmetics, its the 15pc Rose Gold Brush Set! So lets start!
Happy New Years!
I’m a little sad I didn’t get to post any more Christmas nails, but I got overwhelmed by life. Some might know that I got broken into and a lot of my things stolen. I got pretty depressed about the whole ordeal and still am pretty down about it. Also, blogging is hard with out a laptop. I decided to not remove this manicure and wear it till NYE because I realized after having such a shitty and horrible end of the year, my only wish is for 2015 to be good to me. What better way to come into the New Year than wearing the silhouette of a girl blowing a wish on a dandelion? Here’s to best wishes for everyone this coming year.
I originally did this manicure for a wedding that happened recently. I fell in love with this manicure when I first saw it while browsing pinterest, it has been repinned so many times that the watermark was hard to read and it took me a while to hunt down the original Nail Artist, which is RainySunRayNails btw. Now I’m glad I did find her blog, she has wonderful manicures there and now that I have my own blog, I can give credit to her. You can find her blog at rainysunraynails and the specific post which covers the look this is based off can be found at Make A Wish Dandelion Wishing Weed. So now, this is my version of her lovely manicure.
I’m back with another nail look for all of you guys. I know the winter/cozy/ugly/whatever you wanna call it sweater trend has been going around for a while now, but I couldn’t help but do my take on this lovely look! I purchased some Moyou London Festive plates a few weeks back and couldn’t wait to break them out for a manicure. The Festive 06 a wide range of awesome festive images to pick from and I found myself unable to commit to just ONE image. So what did I do? I picked five! 😀
I just wanted to take a minute to do my first official nail post! So to kick things off, I present to you this simple, but festive look! I didn’t have much time to do my nails before work, but still wanted to wear something eye catching and in line with this season. The candy cane look is obviously very popular this time of year, but I wanted to do my own take of it.
Hello and welcome to my blog!
Before I begin sharing my nail art, I wanted to give a little background on my nail art history. I’m starting to think I should probably add this to my “About Me” section instead lol.
I have been painting my nails (terribly) since I was in elementary school, for many of those years it was black polished pooled in the cuticle area and surrounding skin. I didn’t care to shape my nails much and I also didn’t take time to take care of my hands or cuticles. It was terrible. But it played very well into my punk look!
I finally started getting into nails and how to take care and manicure them about seven months ago. It started with me finally starting to grow my nails out, taking care of them using treatments, and shaping them (I decided on a nice square/squoval). Six months ago I invested in a nail brush to clean around the cuticle area to get a neat looking manicure. Five months ago, I got a bundle monster CYO kit and konad stamper and scraper. My BM plates weren’t deeply etched so I didn’t get how to pick up the image and gave up on stamping entirely.
