Spring is Green Nail Art

Happy Tuesday!

Today’s nail art is a bit fresh and spring inspired. This started out again as another one of my “I have no clue what to do, so lets pick two matching polishes and go from there” manicures.

I knew I wanted something involving soft base color so I went with Essie’s Fashion Playground. This green polish is a nice pastel pistachio color and features some ultra fine subltle silver shimmers. The shimmers are usually more apparent in the bottle and almost completely disappear once applied.

Next, I grabbed as many shades of light to medium greens as I could and tested out their “stampability” and color compatibility with Fashion Playground. Some of the colors I played around with were Essie’s Vibrant Vibes, Sally Hansen’s  Green with Envy, Julep’s Francis, and (the winning choice) OPI’s Landscape Artist.

I stamped the index, middle, and pinky nail with a long leafy image from my Pueen46 stamping plate from the Pueen Love Elements set.

For the ring finger I grabbed the cute little floral pattern from the QGirl-009 plate. I filled in the flowers and leaves with a bit of China Glaze White on White. Once the white polish dried, I applied a nice layer of Seche Vite and left my decal to dry.

Meantime, for the thumb I grabbed the little floral image on the bottom right of the Pueen33 stamping plate, also from the Love Elements set. I stamped it close to the bottom edge of my nail and placed a simple gold stud diagonally from the image.

Now that my decal is dry, I applied the decal to my ring finger and added a nice layer of topcoat to all of my nails.

OPI’s Landscape Artist stamps incredibly well for a sheer polish, doesn’t it?

Another angle that captures the thumb, since for once my thumb also has its own unique image! (Side note: Does anyone else find it super awkward to pose the thumb in a photo naturally?)

Anyways, thanks for stopping by! Also thanks to everyone who left me their feedback and thoughts on my last Good Polish Hunting post! I am very glad tho hear that many of you do enjoy the series, so I’ll keep it going 🙂

Have a great week, I’ll see you guys again back here on Thursday! <3

  1. I totally agree– posing with your thumb is awkward! This is such a nice clean manicure for spring– love the base color and your stamping is gorgeous!

  2. Posing including thumb is so hard!
I love this nail art, it’s so fresh and spring-y and I love the colours and patterns. You created me a need for those Pueen plates!
