So, after a wonderful streak of posting 2 times a week (Tues & Thurs) for an entire month, I blew it and didn’t post at all last week. I was assigned to a new project at work and there was just a lot to do, I had no energy left to produce a quality post and just skipped it. I’m starting to adjust to the new rhythm and workflow, so I’m hoping to be back at full force! Unfortunately, I’ll may have week breaks whenever I switch/start on new client projects.
Anyways! On to this week’s nail art!
This week I wanted to do something kind of bright and fun. For this look I applied 2 coats of Essie’s “Sunday Funday”, a bright, pretty, tangerine/coral color with very subtle sparkles.
Next I decided to take my Moyou London Mother Nature Plate No12 and stamp the little flowers from the top middle section of the plate on my pinky, middle, and index fingers. I stamped using Flip Flop Fantasy, a boldly bright neon orange. I felt the look seemed a little flat, so I grabbed a dotting tool and added white to the center of all flowers.
Next, for the accent nail on the ring finger, I used Mundo De Unas white stamping polish to pick up the second owl in the second row from the left from the BP-L019 plate. I filled in the image using Flip Flop Fantasy, and applied a nice coat of Seche Vite to make my decal.
Once dried, I applied the decal as neatly to my finger nail as possible, which is actually harder for me than you’d think! I usually end up with a bumpy surface with air bubbles or something, but it looks like my failures in practicing finally paid off! This decal actually applied nicely and looked decent!
Here is the finished look! A little bit like spring on my nails. Again, I still had a little bit of trouble photographing Flip Flop Fantasy, its a truly neon orange color that my camera refuses to recognize 🙁
I hope I will be true to my word and post on Thursday again! I think I’m finally ready to commit to having T&TH as my official nail posting schedule. I’m not sure how I’ll allocate my non nail beauty posts yet, but I’ll figure it out soon 🙂
