St Ives Review

I’m back with a review of my fifth Influenster VoxBox, this time I received the St Ives #LiveRadiantly box. This box was jam packed with all kinds of goodies to help me recover from winter skin. I got full sized bottles of their Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion, Even & Bright Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Body Wash, and Oatmeal Scrub and Mask. I previously have used St Ives and really do enjoy their products, one of the things I like about them is the fact that their exfoliates are natural vs using micro beads!

So a little bit about my skin, I have a normal to dry skin type and I tend to neglect moisturizing after a shower. Bad me, I know. I was super excited to try out the Even & Bright body wash as I’m always on the hunt for a good body wash. I ADORE the scent of this body wash, I have a total weakness for citrus scents and this Bright Pink Lemon & Mandarin combo totally knocks it out of the park for me! It smells sooooo good! Its light enough to not overwhelm you with a strong perfume like scent, but present enough to make fill your shower with a lovely citrus dream. As a body wash, I feel like this product did great! I felt completely clean after and my skin did not feel dry or irritated by this body wash. I highly prefer it over my last body wash and fully intend to repurchase this body wash and in this scent! Can you tell this is my favorite? 😉

The Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion is another divinely scented product! The pear scent is yummy, fresh, and sweetly subtle. After you apply this to your skin, you are free of any greasy residue that you sometimes get with some super rich moisturizers. This hydrated my skin and locked in moisture without feeling heavy at all. The scent of pear lingered on for a while, but wasn’t too strong where I could smell it throughout the day, which I like. I really can see myself using this, although I don’t like products that are strongly scented, I do prefer scented products over non scented. I know, I’m a little off, but this lotion is the perfect hybrid of scented without being overwhelming.

Now, the Oatmeal Scrub and Mask is a lovely face scrub with nice fine natural exfoliants, they don’t feel too rough or coarse on the face. They feel just gritty enough to polish sensitive skin, although this is the case I won’t find myself personally using this daily. I am a person who prefers to exfoliate their skin occasionally. That being said, I did like this as a scrub and mask. The scent again, is present but non invasive and I had no issues using this. My skin looked nice and bright and had no signs of a breakout reacting from the ingredients in this product. I would like to note however, my boyfriend found this product in my side of the bathroom and has placed it on his shelf of the shower. He really enjoys using this scrub and says it makes his face feel very clean. I think out of the three products, the Oatmeal Scrub and Mask has his vote as his fav.

Overall I enjoyed all of these products and encourage any one who wants to try them to take the plunge!

  1. I think “The Refresh & Revive Pear Nectar & Soy Body Lotion” would be my favourite too, just by reading you review. I haven’t seen here in South Africa, I like body products that aren’t to strong at all and i think this would be a wonderful product to use.
