Cafe Love Manicure (BornPrettyStore Review)

Hello!

I said I’d be posting more often, right? Lets hope I can keep this up! 🙂 I’m back again with another review and look for you all.

Today’s post features the Qgirl-020 stamping plate from the BornPrettyStore. This plate features cafe inspired images such as baked goods, hot drinks, silverware, and some sweet lovey dovey stamps. In my mind, the “love you” and “heart u baby” images are dedicated to the cake…cause who doesn’t love cake? 😉

Once again, I am super happy with the etching quality of Qgirl’s plates. I experienced lots of clean stamping and easy image transfer. As you can see there are a lot of different images packed into this plate, which is both good and a little bad. Its wonderful because you’re getting more bang for the buck by having tons of images available to you, however then you may encounter the problem of picking up neighboring images. Its not that big of a problem, especially if you’re making decals, but it does mean you have to be more careful when doing a direct stamp.

Using this plate, I decided to write a love letter to baked goods in the form of a manicure 😀

For this nail look I went with making some quick and simple nail decals. Using Mundo De Unas stamping polish in black, I picked up various images from the plate and colored them in with China Glaze’s ‘White on White’. After that dried, I applied a generous coat of Seche Vite and moved on to creating a nice, soft, and subtle gradient for my decals to rest on.

When creating my gradient, I started off with China Galze’s ‘White on White’ as a base. For the sponging I used some scented Revlon polishes that I picked up from Big Lots for a complete steal of like a dollar! The colors that I used were a peachy color in ‘Apricot Nectar’, a tiny dab of ‘Pink Pineapple’ as a transition, and finished off with a yellow color called ‘Sunlit Grass’. I sponged my nails twice to achieve the gradation that I was after and then waited for my nails to dry completely. Once dried I peeled off my decals from their stampers, applied a Seche Vite to my nails, and carefully placed each image onto the desired position on my nails. After that dried down a little I topped the everything off with China Glaze’s Matte Magic and called it a day! 🙂

    • I cannot tell you how much more of a sweet tooth I got while sporting this mani, what made it worse was that the revlons were so sweetly scented! D: lol
