Recently I’ve been stumped, have suffered a great deal of creative block. However, I finally found some inspiration while browsing my good ol’ Facebook feed. I still have many Facebook friends who are in college and post an excessive amount of photos of their drinks, themselves drinking, and collections of empty bottles. I saw a bottle of Absolute Vodka and remembered I had an image of an Absolute Vodka label from the MyOnline Shop MJ XIV plate! Let the manicure begin!
This manicure began with a color coat of Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear White On. I then used a makeup sponge to create an ombre, dark color on the bottom, on all fingers except the ring. The ombre began with Revlon’s ColorStay in Indigo Night, followed by Orly’s Snow cone, and tips with another dab of White on.
For my ring finger, I used MyOnline Shop’s MJ XIV plate and MDU’s Iris for the logo name and Konad stamping black for the label detail. It was actually kind of hard to transfer the image from the stamper to the nail perfectly so after numerous failures I decided to make it into a decal.
Stamped the image as crisply as I could, slapped on two seperate coats of Seche Vite on the stamper. I then peeled it off when dry and applied to the nail which had a fresh coat of Seche Vite for bonding. After that dried off a bit, I topped it with yet another coat of top coat and called it a day!
I don’t think a single one of my fingernails has ever had as much Seche Vite as my ring fingers do now. But all in all I am happy with my manicure and am glad to share it with you! Lemme know what you think!
P.S. I’m also thinking of doing a giveaway involving a stamping plate. Any favorites?
