Happy New Years!
I’m a little sad I didn’t get to post any more Christmas nails, but I got overwhelmed by life. Some might know that I got broken into and a lot of my things stolen. I got pretty depressed about the whole ordeal and still am pretty down about it. Also, blogging is hard with out a laptop. I decided to not remove this manicure and wear it till NYE because I realized after having such a shitty and horrible end of the year, my only wish is for 2015 to be good to me. What better way to come into the New Year than wearing the silhouette of a girl blowing a wish on a dandelion? Here’s to best wishes for everyone this coming year.
I originally did this manicure for a wedding that happened recently. I fell in love with this manicure when I first saw it while browsing pinterest, it has been repinned so many times that the watermark was hard to read and it took me a while to hunt down the original Nail Artist, which is RainySunRayNails btw. Now I’m glad I did find her blog, she has wonderful manicures there and now that I have my own blog, I can give credit to her. You can find her blog at rainysunraynails and the specific post which covers the look this is based off can be found at Make A Wish Dandelion Wishing Weed. So now, this is my version of her lovely manicure.
For my version I went with a soft pink base, since I was attending a wedding I wanted to have a nice soft color. The pink is actually two colors layered over each other. The first layer is OPI’s Don’t Pretzel My Buttons and the one painted over is China Glaze’s Pearls of Wisdom. They are similar in color but I chose to layer them over each other because I wanted China Glaze’s color with its subtle shimmer but didn’t wanna apply a too many coats to get the opacity I wanted. OPI’s color was very opaque in its first coat, so I just ran with that. I then just stamped Sugar Bubble’s 25 plate with Konad’s black and topped the manicure with Seche Vite and then China Glaze’s Matte Magic.
